Due to conflicts beyond her control, Lindy West has had to cancel her appearance at our event. All of us at the YWCA have been watching Shrill in anticipation of the lunch and we are disappointed! But, the bright spot is that we were able to secure Stephanie Land, Author of the New York Times best seller "Maid: Hard Work, Low Pay, and a Mother's Will to Survive" in her place. Her memoir describes the challenges faced by American’s working poor and details her struggle to support herself and her young daughter.
