Who should attend this training: New fundraising staff or seasoned staff looking for a refresher, tips and strategies for writing successful private (not government) grants.
Description: How do you get started in grant writing or improve what you already know? From finding funders (prospecting) to writing LOI’s, proposals and final reports, this workshop will start by looking at organizational readiness to embark on grant writing. You will learn about the basics of what goes into a proposal and tips from a seasoned grant writer that will strengthen your proposals. Grant writing, like all fundraising, is about connecting your mission to people who care. The focus will be on obtaining grants from private foundations, not on government proposals.
