Join the YWCA Pierce County’s 253 Club on October 18th at The Grand Cinema for a screening of Plan C, a documentary capturing the work of the Plan C campaign and the work of activists and providers who began to mail abortion pills. Abortion access is vital to those surviving partner violence. According to a 2019 study published in the Journal of Interpersonal Violence, roughly one in 10 people in the U.S. reported experiencing reproductive coercion in their lifetime.
There will be a post-film discussion with local experts in the field of partner violence and abortion care. The Tacoma Needle Exchange will be tabling at the event and distributing safer sex materials and Plan B.
Thank you to event sponsor Elevate Health and our Domestic Violence Action Month sponsors Verizon Wireless and Intermax Networks.
